Technical Evaluation

Pillar To Post was established by one of the best technical Gurus of all time, my father, Don Powell. We are fortunate to have that base to build upon. All of the PTP technicians go through rigorous training to view programs from an objective technical perspective. We focus on evaluation for Public Television venues such as PBS and APT. The PBS specs. have historically been some of the toughest to meet.

PTP has the right tools and talent to detect technical impairments as well as make suggestions to better the look of a finished program. Each room is equipped with Videotek QC stations and Dolby LM-100 dial norm meters. We use the same equipment that PBS uses and calibrate our equipment for the same results. We have created custom checklists that the evaluator uses for each program. This insures that none of the hundreds of criteria will be missed.
